When we started raising Australian Shepherds in 2010 the world was a very different place. The breed was not well known & certainly Aussies were not commonly found in family homes as pets. The Aussie was mainly found on ranches or in show homes & was, in my opinion a hidden gem of a breed. Through the years the breed has gained in popularity & now you will see Aussies everywhere you go whether in town or the country. This versatile breed is also very complex and lines can vary greatly in temperament, energy & activity. We have focused over the last 5 generations on keeping only dogs for our future program that are well rounded, sound, loving & easy to live with Aussies! With the bonus of being beautiful & full of personality which we feel started with our gorgeous foundation dogs on this page. They can excel in any situation or home from the ranch to the city to the competition venue. We strive to maintain our consistent look & personality in our dogs & share those puppies with wonderful families who want these traits! Raising Australian Shepherds started out for us as a fun hobby that over the years has become our family business that we are so blessed by every day. Sky Blue Ranch Bowdie
My first blue boy! Bowdie is the grandfather, great grandfather & great great grandfather to most of the girls & one of the boys in our current program - This boy is the foundation we have built on for the last 14 years! Currently his great grand kids in our program are Ditto, Journey, Sparkle, Siracha and Roxy ! Bowdie is retired from breeding & lives here at Sky Blue. He is 14 years old.
Sky Blue Faith
My sassy red girl who loves frisbee & toys more than anything! Faith was the best mama dog we have ever had. We currently have her grand daughters ViVi & Roxy in our program and upcoming great granddaughter Tipsy. Faith lived a happy and healthy 12 years at Sky Blue and she crossed the rainbow bridge very suddenly in December 2022. She was playing frisbee up until her very last day. We miss her every day.
Sky Blue Ranch Bizkit
Our first Aussie! This guy started our love for the breed & we have shared our life with him for 15 years. He helped raise our kids and many many litters of puppies being the best grandpa dog ever. He crossed the rainbow bridge at almost 16 years old. Sky Blue Aussies became what it is because of him and we miss him every day.
Sky Blue Double Down Kimber
Our first sassy red merle girl! Mother of Tripp & Halo, Grandmother to Vivi, Roxy, Ditto, Siracha and Sparkle - and upcoming 5th generation girls - Ember & Tipsy! Can you tell we love Kimber lines? Kimber lives with our son Evan and is enjoying being spoiled rotten in her retirement yearsand playing daily with our 2 granddaughters! She will be 12 this year!
Sky Blue Ranch Riley
Our very first girl! Riley is the grandmother, great grandmother & great great grandmother to several of the girls & several of the boys in our current program - This girl is the foundation we have built on for the last 12 years! Currently her great grandkids in our program are- LoLo, Roxy, Ditto , Siracha & Sparkle! Riley crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 13 1/2 in 2022 and we miss her every day.
Sky Blue Jett Black
Our first 2nd generation girl that stayed here from one of our own litters! Jett is the daughter of Bizkit & Riley and the grandmother of our boy Storm! Jett is 12 and lives here at Sky Blue and helps raise all of our puppies by being the best great aunt around.

The most charismatic Aussie you will ever meet! We have 3 Gunner grand daughters in our current program -- Breeze, Sparkle and Siracha! Gunner is retired & lives here at Sky Blue. he is 11 years old.
Sky Blue Watch Me Fly ''DASH''
The sweetest girl with a heart of gold! Mother to our current girls Ocean, Pepper & Sailor! Dash is retired & lives with a wonderful family now who love her very much. She spends her days relaxing on the couch and getting all the attention she deserves.
Sky Blue I Been Missing You ''Missy''
Daughter of Bowdie & Riley and grandmother to our girl Sparkle! Missy was retired & lived with a great family in Colorado where she gets to go on lots of adventures and have all the attention she deserves! She crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 13.
Sky Blue Heavenly Halo ''Halo''
Grand daughter of Bowdie & Riley, daughter of Kimber! Our sweet & calm girl Halo has been a constant joy in our lives. She is now retired andlives here at Sky Blue. She is the best auntie to all of our girls and helps me raise all of our future keeper girls at Sky Blue!
Sky Blue Catch Me I'm Falling ''Tripp''
Tripp has sired some of our most favorite litters at Sky Blue! He is the grandson of our foundation boy Bowdie. We have 4 Tripp daughters in our program - Ditto, Sparkle, Siracha & LoLo!
